I realized that as much as I claim to love content creation, I probably post five times a year. So, I figured I’d share a life update with you all. About a week ago I packed up my stuff and moved to LA for a summer internship. WaT?¿
Alexa, play Sleep On The Floor by The Lumineers.
To be completely honest, I was about to not take it because a girl has to save to go abroad in the Fall, but after talking to some family, friends, and mentors I realized that it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. That instead of seeing it as spending my money, I should view it as an investment in myself and my career. I only had four days to accept/decline the offer and basically said screw it and hoped everything would figure itself out money wise, housing wise, etc, etc.
Lol yikes.
In the end, literally everything worked out and I’ve been feeling incredibly blessed and grateful lately. For a while it felt like all the work I was putting in was never going to pay off, but I just wanted to jump on here to say that if you’re working towards your goals they WILL manifest even if it currently doesn’t feel like it (the law of attraction really snapped.)
I just wrapped up my first week and everyone here is so nice and I’ve never felt this excited to learn. I’ve already started to expand my knowledge about an industry I’m passionate about, but I’ve also had some tough adulting lessons like discovering how expensive olive oil is 🌚
Anyways, before I go all “in this essay I will-“ hope your summers are going great. Keep grinding, keep hustling (but take care of yourselves) The internship chronicles shall be continued because I’ll probably get into the wrong bus again and end up in Nevada or something.
